Regional Well Engineering Manager

Job Description

• Optimizing Utilization of Engineering Resources on a Regional Basis
• Manage daily activities of well engineering group within region.
• Schedule and coordinate wellsite engineering activities
• Interview, hireand mentor regional engineers
• Implement training program and assist in coordinating development of regional specific training material
• Ensure Regional Wellsite Activities are being Conducted According to Global Engineering and Corporate Standards
• Coordinate and approve the preparation of engineering reports (Engineering Evaluations; SDS Drilling programs; EOWR, Jar positioning, Torque & drag evaluations, etc)
• Establish manpower needs and manage resource optimization and recruiting process
• Work in conjunction with the Global PL teams for engineering documents standardization related to well constructions (Engineering Evaluation; SDS Drilling programs;Technical Proposals; EOWR).
• Work in conjunction with the Global PL teams for the creation of the required competency standards and its implementation within the Region.
• Maintain &Identify Simulator/Software requirements for the optimization of Well Construction  Services and  training of regional engineers within the region (Multiphase Hydraulic Simulations; Torque & Drag;etc)
• Work closely with the Regional Operation’s Manager to ensure wells are drilled safely and as designed.  Ensure equipment specifications meet project requirements.
• Participate in HazOP and HazID reviews. Assure the continuous updating of the regional and global databases for Well Construction services.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Accredited Engineering Degree with 10+ Years Experience in the Oil & Gas Industry. 
• Good Communication and Presentation Skills (Both Oral andWritten).
• Drilling Engineering background
• Field Operations Experience in Drilling and Completing Wellson MPD; AD and UBD.
• Good Surface and Sub-Surface Understanding of Oil/GasField Development.
• Commercial and Project Economics Experience.
• Risk Assessment and Mitigation.
• Proven Ability to Work in a Team Environment.
• Experience in problem solving.
• Proven Competency in Microsoft Office Products
• Good Grasp of Engineering Software.
