Position: Senior Stress Piping Engineer
Work Location: Alkhobar (Saudi Arabia)
Job Responsibilities:
* Assists all interfacing, construction and engineering groups in the area of piping stress and vibration.
* Prepares stress analysis, calculations and compiles documentation.
* Makes preliminary manual/computer line stress calculations (including thermal, dead weight, loop, etc.) with modeling, loading calculations and summaries of piping systems.
* Performs stress analysis of high complex systems using Auto PIPE with conclusive results regarding suitability of the design.
* Develops design standards or advance complex details as needed with minimum supervision.
* Ensures communication flow, both verbal and written, is maintained within Piping Engineering and other design, engineering, and purchasing disciplines.
* Determines the level and need for analysis of all pipe systems on the project.
* Develops piping flexibility, support element, expansion joint and shock arrestor specifications.
* Identifies inline flexibility element and expansion joint requirements.
* Reviews Request for Quotations and Purchase Requests for cost and technical completeness for stress related components.
* Maintains complete and auditable calculation files for all systems reviewed or analyzed.
* Identifies deviations in job scope, estimates magnitude of changes.
* Assures that quality control procedures are enforced for assigned work.
Desired Profile:
* Has working knowledge of Code for Pressure Piping, ASME 31.3, ASME 31.1, ASTM, ANSI, API standards and applies these requirements on projects.
* Able to work in a team environment across multiple offices and work sites and demonstrate effective communication.
* There is the potential for travel, domestic and international assignments and self-determination of your development and future with the company.
* Candidate must be heaving the knowledgeable of stress/strain theories as applied to strength of materials.
