We are looking for an 8 years experienced Senior Cognos
Developer with experience in Healthcare Payer industry.
Requirements
This position will work with Developers and Product Managers and Technical Lead to develop, maintain, and execute Cognos and Framework Manager artifacts.
Strong problem analysis skills is required
Strong & working experience of SQL programming and performance tuning skills.
Strong & working experience of Cognos Report Studio, Transformer, Powerplay, Event Studio and Metric Studio.
Strong & working experience of Cognos Frame work manager.
Strong & working experience of Cognos SDK.
Strong & working experience of Stored Procedure using DB2. Knowledge of writing complicated yet efficient SQL for relational database is essential
Strong in Datamart / Data warehousing design (ODS, EDW, DM, ROLAP, MOLAP, cubes, slowly changing dimensions, incremental updates, dimensional frameworks, powercubes, fact, grains) and development experience is essential.
Strong & working experience with reporting and analytics development on multiple full lifecycle Data Warehouse implementations
Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) are required.
Healthcare experience and related business knowledge is preferred.
Primary responsibilities include:
Work with mid-level and junior level Cognos developers
Participate in creating Detail Cognos technical documents based on Cognos Architecture and Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS)/ System Use Cases(SUC)
Implement reports and model based on Detail technical design documents and Architecture.
Design and Development in Cognos 8.3 / 8.4.1 versions using Report Studio, Transformer, Powerplay, Event Studio and Metric Studio
Design layout of reports and determine the best way to present data to end users.
Create Cognos model using Framework Manager and produce Cognos packages.
Write DB2 Stored procedures and Cognos SDK that are referenced within the reports.
Participate in code reviews and use Clear Case to ensure weekly builds occur.
Use clear quest to complete assigned task
Participate and assist in development of deployment and release documents
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, or equivalent work experience in similar work environment.
Minimum 8 years of Cognos Developer work experience in large, complex data warehouse involving multiple facets of a business system, performing system development, debugging, unit testing and implementation.

The candidate for this position will work to assist in the implementation of Oracle Business Intelligence (BI) technologies for functional business areas. This position will have a key role in the OBIEE roadmap and provide guidance on the use of OBIEE version 11g.
The candidate will be expected to:
Maintain business relationships with leadership to develop strategies within Oracle BI technologies as well as act in a Business Analyst role for customers.
Support the analytics program and develop strategies for customers in Oracle BI technologies.
Engineer & build highly available OBIEE analytical reporting environments.
Assist leadership in BI technology use and competency development among core users.
Implement architecture road mapping and governance as well as solution engineering for OBIEE maintenance and development.

Experience in OBIEE/OBIA and any other Reporting tools a must.
