Project Analyst - Business Intelligence

Job Location:  Qatar

Job Description:  The BI project Analyst, is responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of defined outcomes of the project within the agreed timeframes, budget, quality and resources to deliver the organizations objectives. The involves undertaking activities as agreed within the project plan, utilizing Project Management Methodologies, and delivering services that meet the customer needs.

Responsibilities:

• Contributing to the overall project management functions of scope, time, cost, quality, human resources, communications, risk and procurement to deliver the project objectives that are aligned with organizational goals, strategies and objectives.
• Contributing to agreed scope of the project, documenting scope and planned outcomes and applying project scope controls.
• Assisting with development, implementation and maintenance of the project schedule to deliver the project within agreed timeframes, resources and budget and reporting potential or actual variances.
• Contributing to the quality of projects including determining quality requirements, implementing quality assurance processes, and using review and evaluation to make quality improvements in current projects and recommending improvements for future project.
• Contributing to effective risk and issue management within the project including identifying, reporting and monitoring risks and issues, implementing risk mitigation strategies and monitoring outcomes.

Job Requirements:

• Understanding and application of project management methodology
• Experience working with large datasets/analytical datamarts.
• Proficient in SQL, Teradata, Excel, Access, and various data mining tools and relational database systems.
• Base knowledge of OLAP, ETL, Query Drill-down and Ad Hoc reports
• Base knowledge of statistical analysis and modeling, preferably including areas of forecasting, regression analysis, conjoint analysis, and sales and inventory data analytics.
• Understanding of database design and ability to interpret logical and physical data models.
• Ability to logically communicate complex analyses to a diverse audience. Solid written communication skills.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects at the same time
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in an extremely fast paced environment
• Excellent written, communication and organizational skills

Candidate Requirement

Process Control Head 

Qualification: Bachelors Degree in Chemical/ Petroleum or Instrumentation Engineering.

Minimum Experience: 

• Minimum 12 years of experience in process control design with oil & gas engineering sector (out of which 5 years shall be upstream).
• Experience in conceptual, front end/ detailed design is a must. Minimum 10 years experience in engineering Design Company is required.
• Fully conversant with relevant International standards (ASME, API, ISO, IEC....etc.)

Preferred Experience: 

• Master's degree in Petroleum or in Process Engineering.
• Experience with Shell Group projects and standards (SPS and DEPs) is strongly preferred.
• Field experience in construction and commissioning strongly preferred.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Process Control experience in multiple areas / plants.
• Deep understanding of plant operations & maintenance with respect to process control.
• Able to design and execute basic and advanced control schemes and complex logic sequences.
• Proficient in programming of DCS/ PLC Systems from reputed vendors. Shall be knowledge in advanced process control systems.
• Actively communicate with other disciplines to optimize areas of interface, during the design development, review and check process.
• Support design/daring office personnel with specialist engineering input.
• Provide input for requisitions and technical evaluational of bids for Instrumentation Items.

Senior Thermal Engineer/ Heat Transfer Engineer 

Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/ Process/ Chemical Engineering with specialization in Fluid mechanics, heat transfer and heat management.

Minimum Experience: 

• Minimum of 12 years engineering experience of which 5 years in an Engineering design company.
• Experience in using commercial thermal/ heat transfer tools (Thermo Flow, Gate Cycle... etc.)
• Experience in conceptual, front end & detail design is a must.
• Fully conversant with relevant International standards (ASME, API, ISO...etc.)

Preferred Experience: 

• Master's degree in Thermal engineering or in Process engineering.
• Knowledge of GT operation/ control and their impacts on the downstream steam cycle.
• Experience with Shell Group projects and standards (Sps and DEPs) is strongly preferred.
• Field experience in construction and commissioning strongly preferred.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Develop Conceptual, front end & detailed design for combined Cycle Power station with emphasis on Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG) systems and its BOP.
• Carryout simulation Modeling for HRSG's & Mass Heat Balance calculations etc.
• Provide required review/ assurance/ approval of HRSG/ST/GT deliverable in close collaboration with technical disciplines 9mechanical, rotating, process, utilities).
• Vendor qualification.
• Technical specifications as part of RFQ.
• To manage all interfaces with the broader engineering tea, consisting of mechanical, process, utilities and control & safeguarding technical disciplines.
