Mechanical Design Engineer (Rotating Equipment)
Milan, Italy - 1 year assignment
Up to :$84 Per Hour

Competitive packages are offered with monthly allowances for all positions up to $5000 per month

We urgently require a Mechanical engineer to deliver the technical know-how of the Owners to the design via implementation and interpretation of Owner technical requirements. The intent of the role is to provide the technical content that is unique, not supplement or replace otherwise competent engineering support.

An Asset Design Engineer is responsible for Owner’s technical oversight across one or more groups of related units (plants) referred to as “envelopes”, and ensures that the Detailed Design Engineering deliverables are in accordance with the projects Loss Prevention Principles (LPPs), Standards Library, and design criteria.
You will actively participate on the Program Design Engineering Team (DET) network. Asset Design Engineers function as the Owner’s discipline specialists. This includes leveraging learning’s to the Program Core DET and other Asset Teams. You will also provide technical support on their project and are the primary project points of contact / focal points for their discipline within defined discipline work processes.

An Asset Mechanical Design Engineer should have the following knowledge and skills:
• Preferred 10 plus years of experience associated with the design, and installation of Mechanical equipment.
• Preferred experience working with owner’s Mechanical support personnel during FEED and EPC phases of the projects.
• Thorough knowledge in the design/constructions methods in Industry Standards (e.g. API and ASME).
• Travel & Relocation Requirements Relocation to Detailed Design Contractor offices and the construction site may be required.

Qualifications / Personal Attributes: Qualifications:
• Technical education MSc / BSc (Experience may compensate for lack of formal education)
• Fluid power design skills
• CAD experience
• Simulation experience desirable
• Knowledge in Pro/E – ProPipe desirable
