QA/QC Manager for Qatar (Direct Hire)

One of our reputed clients in Qatar requires following candidates for Direct Hire:

QA/QC Manager

Qualification:

• Should be Graduated Bachelor's Degree Preferable in Mechanical Metallurgical or Welding Engineering from an accredited University.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications and at least 15-20 years built environment (oil & Gas) experience, including at least 5 years in Project Quality Management.
• Through understanding of the principles and practice of Quality Management and the implementation and improvement of management systems.
• Practical experience of plant and vendor inspection of all types of mechanical equipment typically required at oil & gas installations, both on-shore and off shore.
• Ability to develop, maintains, update in – house technical standards & specifications.
• Communication skills – verbal, written –to report standard and presentation skills.
• Experience in managing a team of quality practitioners.
• Fully conversant with NDE requirements and offshore environments.
• Demonstrable capabilities in planning and organizing projects and activities to meet Project requirements    e.g. quality planning and re-sourcing for projects to ensure they are suitably resourced with sufficient and capable quality management expertise
• Experience with ISO 9000 and 14000 Series and International Standards relevant to he Built Environment.

Responsibilities:

• Review of Project Quality Plan's with QC engineer for understanding and readiness of requirements of Third Party Inspection stages and arranging resources.
• Review of job specifics procedures and standard procedures and readiness for implementation on job.
• Raising NCR's for on job specific deviations noticed and resolving and closing them.
• Ensure Timely corrective actions on Deviations/Reworks/NCR found during audits.
• Monthly assessment of Percent Weld defects Project wise.
• Preparation of final documentation of specific Projects.
• Effective implementation and coordination of vendor assessment and inspection activities.
• Effective implementation and verification of construction inspection and testing activities.
• Establishment of an effective risk based audit program.
• Effectiveness of Project Management Review Programs including collection analysis and reporting of project   performance measures.
• Calibration and Maintenance of Project instruments.
