Sr. CAD Engineer
Job Description
In this position, the individual will develop/support/calibrate parasitic extraction flow for design groups. Develop/support physical verification rule decks (LVS/DRC/ERC) for layout group. Placement and Routing flow/methodology development. Developing the CAD flow for memory design as per the layout and design requirements. Improving overall productivity for layout group through various scripts and SKILL programming.
This position requires a BS/BA degree or equivalent with 5 or more years of related experience. The ideal individual must have proven ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment. Self-motivated and self-directed, however, must have demonstrated ability to work well with people. A proven desire to work as a team member, both on the same team and outside of the team. Ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex problems. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.

Job Description
Approval or design of major equipment / systems: Design output like system selection, comp. selection, heat exchangers and pressure vessels sizing etc. done by Subordinates (For all ongoing projects as well as the projects for which supply is completed and commissioning is balance)
ü System design and engineering of projects: Project engineering completion as per project schedule
ü Drawing Quality Improvement: Drawing generation with maximum accuracy / minimum corrections to maintain delivery without cost rise for equipment under manufacturing.
ü Project Engineering time Improvement: Project engineering completion as per agreed project schedule or before to improve total project handling capacity per year.
ü Customer satisfaction: By completing project engineering in time to meet project completion and by meeting plant design requirements.
ü Cost effective/ optimized design output: To reduce and save approx 2% engineering & material cost
ü Responsible or flawless and profitable project execution in compliance with contractual obligations (accurate, on-time, within budget & scope of contract), company processes and procedures, industry installation techniques and applicable legal requirements.
ü Primary co-Site leader for execution team consisting of front line delivery teams and subcontractors, Attends job progress meetings as required, steers corrective actions and defines recovery plans where needed. Escalates issues when required.
ü Negotiates, prepares and issues subcontractor contracts. Ensures subcontractors understand performance levels needed for flawless execution of the project.
ü Employee coaching: To provide continual technical support to engineering team for project delivery, minimizing errors in output and enhance support staff efficiency. Also, educate and support other team function for better understanding of projects requirement and Its delivery for customer satisfaction
ü Documentation for traceability and for ISO requirements: To focus and maintain documentations for easy traceability and for maintaining ISO requirements. ISO certification achievement. Holding discussions within team for continual improvement in documentations.
ü Updating of Technology, maintaining library of latest standards/codes, technical handbooks, reference books.
ü Upgrading the technical software to the latest version
