POSITION SUMMARY:

He seeks inputs from his colleagues in the HVAC and Plumbing teams regarding design specifications in relation to location, space requirements and others. Following this, he works on design criteria and costs to come up with preliminary design and a project plan with the aid of the engineers and draftsmen in his team
He allocates work to the draftsmen and engineers in his team and is also responsible for training them on new technologies and systems as well as ensuring coordination and high morale in his team in coordination with HR
He coordinates externally with the client and architect and shares feedback with his internal team and incorporates changes/suggestions in the design as required. He also escalates problems to and seeks inputs from HoD if situation so requires.
It is his responsibility to ensure proper tender documentation and to ensure the draftsmen are doing drawing documentation
He may be recalled for some problems post commissioning of the project. At this stage his role is to maintain and build client relationship.
He is responsible for adopting new technologies in the industry and updating the specifications.

• Reviewing manufacturers’ documentation
• Coordination with Client/ Licensors/partners, including supervision and review of detail engineering.
• Supervision of equipment erection and commissioning at the jobsite.
• Performance of the above tasks with full responsibility for quality, budget and schedule compliance.
• Thermal and mechanical design of fired heaters and heat recovery systems in Refinery/ Petrochemical/ Chemical plants.
• Preparation of bid estimates for engineering services and equipment.
• Preparation of data sheets, requisitions, bid evaluation and purchase order.

M Tech / B Tech with minimum 10 years experience in a Consulting / Engineering (EPC environment) pertaining to Hydrocarbon / Petro-chemical / Oil & Gas sectors.
