PDS Piping Designers
Our client who is involved in the petrochemical industry, is actively recruiting an Intermediate PDS Piping Designer. The successful candidate will have PDS software, modeling, and experience in development of piping scope in intermediate projects. All design/drafting work will be performed in thier facility near the Red Deer area.
This person will mostly be working independently but in coordination with the Mechanical Engineer and Project Manager. The Intermediate PDS Piping Designer is recognized for leading design alternatives, alternative selection construction plans/details, developing bill of Materials and construction data ensuring safe designs are in line with NCX engineering standards.

Principal Engineer-Piping (Stress)
We are having opening with one the reputed Oil and Gas company kindly go through the JD given bellow.
Position Title Principal Engineer-Piping (Stress)
Location Chennai (CEC)
Qualification BE - Mechanical
Years of experience 12-15
Candidate Profile
* Substantial experience in piping flexibility analysis of stress critical lines using Caesar-II on typically large refinery/petrochemical projects.
* Exposure to secondary calculations such as flange leakage calculation, WRC 107/297 and other stress analysis related calculations.
* Exposure to 3D tools (PDS/PDMS) and 3D model review software will be an added advantage.
* Should be capable of leading a team of Stress Engineers / Designers and independently handle task of stress & supports team on a project to deliver the output in a timely and quality manner.
Technical / Domain Related Skills:
* Having good concepts in piping stress analysis, pipe supports selection and detailing.
* Having exposure in interaction with global clients as well as in interdisciplinary tasks.
Job Responsibilities
* Plans and conducts independent work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.
* Knowledge of industry standards, design criteria, and relative codes.
* Experience in generating/checking pipe support calculations, preferably for large diameter (>900 mm NB) piping.
* Performing calculations to verify support design, placing supports in a 3D model environment, extract drawings and generate/edit 2D Micro station drawings for fabrication / installation. The design will also include running interference check through the 3D environment, interfacing with structural steel designers and piping designers.
* Preparation of Spring Hanger Specifications and Selection of Spring Hanger. Preparation of spring data sheets.
* Preparation of Piping Load Lists.
* Good exposure to the various types of supporting arrangements such as spring hangers, struts, clamps etc.
* Preparation and issue of piping loads to and coordination with civil / structural Engineers for design of supports and structures. Preparation of supports MTO
