This position is very independent and demands leadership, flexibility and skill. It provides broad and in-depth exposure in high temperature (up to 400C) and high pressure (up to 100 bar) piping design with the use of 3-D software.

Lead a team of five (5) CAD draftsmen / modelers /engineers. Supervision and QA of all engineering work in piping discipline, including revision control and final documentation. Execution, checking and approval of minimum of the following documents:

 Piping study, plant layout, and 3D model

 Floor plans, vessel nozzle schedule, orientation

 Stress analysis reports of lines as required and incorporation into piping engineering

 Structural GA / Design drawings, load drawings

 RFC Isometrics, Bills of materials

 Pipe support drawings, guidance and problem-solving help for site construction team.

Familiarity in use of software for piping design: Bentley, CAD Works.

Knowledge of American and European (BS / DIN) standards.

Essential Responsibilities

• Define & roll-out of business Quality Plan for the India engineering department, ensuring buy-in and commitment from key stakeholders.

• Responsible to establish metrics, process, quality review& improve the overall drawing quality for GDC/ Vendor teams.

• Setup ASME practices/ process for engineering drawing standards on casting, manufacturing, sheet metal & assembly drawings.

• Be responsible for India drawing quality management tracking, review and reporting the quality metrics on requisitions & NPI.

• Work with quality champion(s) / Quality Leaders and other operating leaders to develop quality goals &work towards implementation of best practices/ process across teams.

• Develop practical and innovative ways to identify root causes, strategic approach to achieve drawing quality and meet business goals by applying Six Sigma methodologies.

• Knowledge of quality systems to comply with the GETS Quality System Manual & Quality System Procedures

• Be the key interface between the Engineering, Product definition, Manufacturing, Sourcing and Supplier quality teams for improvementand resolution of the fulfillment related drawing quality issues.

• Drive & operate the quality operating rhythm for the engineering departments
