Cost Estimator - Operations

As an integral part of the Upgrading and Utilities team, the Cost Estimator will develop various classes of cost estimates for sustaining and capital projects, capital equipment, utilities, maintenance and insurance claim projects.
You will have the opportunity to:
• Ensure all estimates are produced to a high standard and in a timely manner
• Contribute to on time/on budget project completion for all assigned projects
Generate various classes of estimates from conceptual stage to detailed stage with high degree of accuracy
• Review and verify total installed cost estimates submitted by contractors of all disciplines including:
o Civil / Structural
o Mechanical
o Piping
o Electrical and Instrumentation
• Interface with other Project Groups, including Accounting, Procurement and Engineering
• Manage the generation, development and implementation of the work and cost breakdown structures
• Assist Contract Administrators and management in tender evaluations and AFEs (Authorizations for Expenditure)
• Monitor all costs, allocations and associated factors
• Manage material take-off from drawings, scopes and specifications
• Collect and assemble benchmarking data
