Determine Fire Risk Areas (fire zones) and estimate/calculate fire water demand. Fireproofing design execution such as identification of fire hazardous equipment, object to be fireproofed, fireproofing for instrument/control system, and preparation of Fire hazard zone map

Our client is one of the largest refineries in the in Middle East, They are
embarking one of the largest strategic New refinery project in Kuwait, with
capacity of 615 thousand Bp/d .
Once this new refinery & the Clean Fuels
Project are completed the refining capacity, will rise to around 1,400.000
barrels per day. The two projects will lead to the processing of high
quality petroleum products & will open new market outlets across the world
an enhance their competitive ability at those markets.
They have commenced the project construction & looking for competent
Engineers, to construct the project as per schedule in stipulated cost &
time parameters

Qualification & Exp:

- Engineering Graduate / Post Graduate in Mechanical Engineering, with
min 10 + years of exp in design of static Equipments & package
equipments including preparing specifications & specifying material
related to Refinery / Petrochemical projects

Job Description:

- Should be well versed with international codes & standards applicable
for Oil & Gas Industry, viz. ASME, API & BS standards etc.
- Mechanical Design of Pressure vessels, Heat Exchangers , Columns,
Reactors etc using software like PV Elite, COMPRESS etc. & preparation
detailed drawings.
- Preparing and checking of Design calculations of Pressure Vessels,
Heat Exchangers and other process equipments as per National and
International codes like ASME, TEMA, AD MERKBLATTER, PD 5500 etc
- Design & Engineering of Plant process piping & transportation
pipelines including preparation of piping layout drawings.
- Piping stress/ flexibility analysis using CAESER II & design of pipe
supports.
- Mechanical Design of API Storage tanks using software tank &
preparation of detailed engineering drawings.
- Asset Integrity studies & assessing remaining life, recommendation to
modify/rerate the existing equipment in line with API recommended practice
for fitness for Service.
- Preparation of Mechanical datasheets for all category of equipment
viz. Pressure vessels, Heat Exchangers, Tanks, Air Cooled Heat Exchangers,
Direct Fired Heaters etc.
- Review of Consultants & Contractors & Project control documents.
- Coordination and correspondence with client, third party Inspection
Agency etc. for approval of design documents
- Experience in value improvement practices like, Constructability
studies, Cost & Schedule risk analyses will be preferred
- Experience in basic design, selection of components & preparation of
datasheets for rotating equipment viz., Pumps & Compressors. will be
preferred
- Special Skills Required:
- Knowledge of sequence of Manufacturing and processes
- Knowledge of International Codes and Procedures, ISO Systems and
Procedures

DUTIES
The primary duties of the Subsea Controls Lead are to:
Direct the development of design, specifications, reliability analysis, and enquiry packages for the project’s subsea control system. Subsequently assist in the review of equipment bid packages and prepare recommendations to award supply contracts.
Assist in the planning of construction, integration, and testing activities.
Actively manage Interface Engineering of the subsea control system interfaces with the subsea hardware and the topsides control system
Assisting in development of Client project management deliverables such as Basis of Design, budgets and schedules.
Work Location: Houston based, in Client home office and FEED Contractor’s office. 30% domestic and/or international travel during the engineering phase.
Supervision of the detailed design, fabrication, testing and pre-commissioning of the subsea control system.  Subsequently assisting in the commissioning and start up of the field facilities.
Resolving technical conflicts arising from differing interpretation of matters within the scope of the functional specifications.
Work Location: Houston based, but with considerable time spent in the Subsea Equipment Vendor’s design offices and at their manufacturing facilities in Europe and Angola, as well as time offshore Angola overseeing work activities. 30% domestic and/or international travel during the engineering phases, increasing to 50% during installation and commissioning activities.
