PROJECT MANAGER
Integrated Pipeline Projects Canada Ltd. (IPPCL) is seeking a PROJECT MANAGER in Calgary, Alberta. Submit resumes: connie.cummings@universalpegasus.com or call me: 713.357.3963.
IPPCL is a subsidiary of UniversalPegasus International. This position will be located in Calgary at IPPCL.
The successful candidate will have 10+ years of pipeline engineering experience.
Essential responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:
• Plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
•.Identify resources and coordinate the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan.
•.Define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
•.Ensure project execution is successful by adhering to HS&E, quality, schedule, and cost.
•.Oversee and be accountable for all project duties.
Educational and Work Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required. Formal education in Project Management a plus.
• 10+ years experience in a Project Management role, preferably in Pipeline.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments.
• Prior experience with multi-year projects (3-5 years) and worth 5 to 20 million dollars preferred.
• Project Controller for project, program and portfolio management.
• Apply the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures for cost, schedule and scope control change management and earned value methodology.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of master data including resource information; project, activity, and resource codes; enterprise project structure; security profiles; licensing information; etc.
• Develop an effective project plan template that can be utilized for schedule development, schedule control, and critical path analysis.
• Participate in the development of the work breakdown structure.
• Implement and maintain the Planning/Scheduling portion of Integrated Project Control System.
• Demonstrated analytical ability.
• Experience with summarizing results and producing management reports.
• Demonstrated ability to identify problems and develop creative solutions.
• Experience with maintaining project plans.
• Experience in a client service environment.
• Strong professional, verbal and written communication skills. Ideally has had experience with resource negotiation and championing new ideas or processes.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Project required. Experience with Cost Track and Primavera is preferred.
