Our Client seeks the following:

JOB TITLE:   Piping Designer
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Piping design - Applies technical knowledge in the design, application, and procurement of piping systems. Application of a strong working knowledge of piping codes and standards is required to ensure that the most effective design has been selected and that it is in compliance with Dow Safety and Loss Prevention principles, industry standards, and codes.
2. Field surveying and data gathering of existing piping systems tie-ins
3. Field routing new pipe lines and laying out new equipment in existing plant facilities.
4. Provide detailed fabrication drawings and installation details using Microstation.
5. Drawing layout and generation using established pipe specifications, P ID s, and detail design standards.
6. Prepare final piping detail design drawing package include job instructions, for IFA Issue for Approval , IFC Issue for Construction and MST Material Specification Transmittal .
7. Provide project leadership, coordination with other disciplines, and construction support when required.
8. Responsible for meeting project schedules and design team objectives.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Ten 10 or more years of piping design work experience.  2 year associate degree desirable.
2. Basic computer skills are required; 3D piping system, Microstation and/or SP3D experience preferred.
3. Must be able to work in a team environment.
4. Working knowledge of interactions with all design disciplines instrument, civil /structural, electrical, etc .
W/2 HOURLY PAY RATE: Open (based upon experience and qualifications)
There is no relocation budgeted for this position. If this position requires you to relocate you will be responsible for those costs.

Lead Pipe Stress Engineer - Calgary, AB

Position: Lead Pipe Stress Engineer O&G
Location: Calgary, AB

Our client is a major international engineering, project management and consulting company with offices around the world delivering signature projects and services to their clients.

They are currently seeking a highly skilled and qualified Lead Pipe Stress Engineer for their team to provide facility engineering services to the upstream oil and gas industry, in-situ thermal recovery of oil through Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) and the separation and injection of acid gas (CO2 and H2S) for enhanced oil recovery or CO2 sequestration

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and plan pipe stress systems from Piping and Instrumentation diagrams
• Model the stress systems in CAESAR software.
• Run the analysis and interpret the results with respect to CODES from Caesar.
• Optimize the pipe stress solution.
• Prepare stress calculations related to local stress analysis, pipe supports in excel.
• Model pressure vessel nozzle and their loads in Nozzle Pro software , run the analysis and interpret results.
• Do approximate long hand calculations for less stress critical piping.
• Document all stress calculations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
• APEGA registration or eligible to register
• 10+ years and thorough knowledge in pipe and pipeline stress analysis and fundamentals, related to Oil Sands, in SITU and/or Hydrocarbon projects.
• Experience as a Lead in EPCM company is preferred.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate effective organizational skills
• Should be well conversant with all aspects of piping design and piping engineering.
• Ability to work from first principles through to working out solutions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills as interaction at a senior level with client, vendor and other engineering disciplines is required
• Caesar, FE Pipe, Nozzle Pro, MS Excel

Engineering Project Manager – Venezuela Rotation

ESP is searching for an Engineering Project Manager with recent Offshore Topsides experience. This position will be an 8 week on/2 week off rotational assignment in Venezuela. This will be a full time staff position with excellent salary/bonus potential, benefits and growth opportunity.

Responsible for overall administrative and technical management of Topsides & Fixed Offshore Platform engineering projects in accordance with contractual obligations, technical, quality, safety, budget and schedule requirements.

WORK PERFORMED:
•Responsible for HSE performance and culture.
•Direct accountability for performance (budget, schedule and deliverables) of project team
•Ensure project team staff meet the requirements of the Company's quality policy and procedures.
•Review and manage project resource needs
•Ensure project team adheres to financial, schedule and productivity budgets and targets.
•Manage process of change and ensure opportunities for increasing workscope are maximized.
•Identify and mitigate issues that pose a risk to project or client relationship
•Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with client team and other relevant 3rd party teams
•Liaise with Engineering department managers to provide information on the performance of individuals and ensure resource management within the Engineering business unit is efficient and effective
•Establish and maintain relevant network within client Group and acquire knowledge of Group capabilities
•Establish structure of project team to ensure efficient and effective management and distribution of workload
•Ensure engineering deliverables issued in a timely manner, to an acceptable level of technical quality and with the appropriate level of reviews completed
•Ensure lessons learned from the project are captured
•Ensure project start-up and close -out procedures implemented
•Prepare and present information to Project Review teams
•Support and promote business development initiatives
•Provide appropriate input to proposals and pre-qualifications
•Maintain contact with client organizations and disseminate information to relevant business development personnel


QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS:
•Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline
•Preferred Texas P.E.
•Minimum 10 years of experience, Offshore Oil and Gas Facilities Projects.
•US work authorization required.
